Gabriela Oberkofler talks with Frida Carazzato (Curator of the exhibition “…und nun von einer Grönlandsfahrt, von einem Walfischfange zurückkäme…” (Goethe, 1829) in the Project Room and Silke Opitz (Curator of the exhibition “…als wenn ich hier geboren und erzogen wäre…”(Goethe, 1829) at the Kunsthalle in Erfurt.

The exhibition in the project room is part of a co-project with Kunsthalle Erfurt (…als wenn ich hier geboren und erzogen wäre – “…as if I’d been born and brought up here…”). The titles of the two parts of the project form a phrase („Ich lasse mir’s gefallen, als wenn ich hier geboren und erzogen wäre und nun von einer Grönlandsfahrt, von einem Walfischfang zurückkäme“ – „I like it as much as if I’d been born and brought up here, and were coming back from a whale-catching expedition in Greenland”), which is taken from the chapter „Von Brenner bis Verona” – “From Brenner to Verona”“ in the book  „Italienischen Reise – “Italian Trip”“ by Johann Wolfgang Goethe.
