Curated by Andreas Hapkemeyer and Lisa Trockner.
Hans Glauber (Dobbiaco, 1933 – Bolzano, 2008) is known for his ongoing commitment to environmental issues, above all through the “Dobbiaco Interviews”. His work as a photographer from 1963 to 1973, on the other hand, is less well known. The Museion exhibition presents 50 works, including screenprints and lithography prints. The Prisma gallery of the Südtiroler Künstlerbund will be showing 15 photographic works from the Museion collections Museion. All of Glauber’s works start life as photographs of typewriters or calculators, worked on using solarization techniques or collage.
On the occasion of the exhibition in Museion a book “Hans Glauber. Bilder aus der mechanischen Stadt” will be published by Folio. The book is available for sale in the Museion bookshop.
