Rosemarie Trockel “Flagrant Delight”

02/02/13 – 01/05/13

Rosemarie Trockel (1952, Schwerte, Germany) is held to be one of the most important international artists of our times. Flagrant Delight brings together more than 80 of her works, including textile paintings, a kitchen hob, ceramics, sculptures and collages. The works address many issues, using many techniques, but always with a precise, poetic and explicitly feminine touch. As the title suggests, her works are often playful and mysterious: whether direct and political, or openly sensual, all are  open to a multiple interpretations.

A collaboration between WIELS Contemporary Art Centre, Brussels, Fundação Caixa Geral de Depósitos – Culturgest, Lisbon and Museion Bozen/Bolzano.

Curated by Dirk Snauwaert
