Keep Moving, Hamish Fulton

Keep Moving is an artist’s book published on the occasion of the monographic exhibition that Museion dedicated to Hamish Fulton in 2005 and which includes a short essay by the legendary mountaineer Reinhold Messner. This London artist, who defines himself as a “walking artist”, puts at the centre of his art the experiences he collects while out hiking in the form of photographs, small wooden objects, pictograms and texts. Keep Moving is the result of a period of nine days spent by Fulton in the Dolomite region of Corvara in the Summer of 2004, in which he completed a series of walks and a guided climb on the Marmolada mountain, using a small refuge hut as a base.
