On Saturday 8th May after hosting over 70 events, the “Here to stay – we are here to stay!” initiative – launched by Museion to stimulate the world of culture in Alto Adige – came to an end. For this occasion, local Alto Adige operators and institutions were invited to use the large space on the fourth floor of Museion – deliberately left empty – to make their voices heard through free contributions from a wide range of creative sectors.

From visual arts to performance, reading to dance, and videos to classical music concerts, the initiative presented over seventy events. Numerous artists answered Museion’s call, including Julia Bornefeld, Hannes Egger, Michael Fliri, Hubert Kostner, Matthias Schönweger, Simon Steinhauser, Leander Schwazer and Thomas Sterna. There were also a number of events based on interdisciplinary initiatives, featuring Museion partner institutions, like the Haydn Orchestra, the Stabile Theatre, and the Bolzano Dance and Alps Move Festivals. The contributions were live streamed on the Museion website and YouTube channel, and can still be seen on the Museion YouTube channel.
