Jimmy Robert. Plié. Leopold-Hoesch-Museum Düren

Plié is the title of a work by Guadalupe artist Jimmy Robert, currently on display in Mirror Language, his solo exhibition in Museion, and also that of a book he recently published. In his exhibition at the Leopold-Hoesch-Museum in Düren in Germany, he presented photographic, sculptural and textual works alongside pieces from the German museum, and he has done the same thing in Bolzano, forging a dialogue with works and artist books from the Museion collections. In Robert’s practice one can therefore grasp the desire to create links, cross-references and connections between his works and those of other artists, leaving the viewer free to interpret the traces and stratifications of these productive combinations in their own way.
