A day of DJ sets by the river
with fourteen independent electronic music collectives from South Tyrol

On Saturday 27 August, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Museion presents the second OCCUPY MUSEION event in the Museion Art Club programme: 12 hours of open-air music with DJ sets organised in collaboration with 14 electronic music collectives active in South Tyrol.

Museion Art Club is an incubator and amplifier, offering space, visibility, and networking to the local creative scene, generating independent interaction between the museum and the drivers of urban change. Conceived by the Museion Art Club Forum, a group of nine young people from outside the institution who freely develop formats aimed at the public, its aim is to accelerate contemporary culture in South Tyrol.

OCCUPY MUSEION is the framework for a series of events aimed at facilitating activities both within and beyond the museum space, with music, performances, visual arts and much more.

The second OCCUPY event will take place entirely open-air in the fields along the Talvera river, in front of Museion. The event will take place from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm, and is divided into three chapters: techno brunch, techno picnic and techno aperitif.

During the day, another highlight for the local community will be the presentation of their Manifesto: via the platform of Museion – a unique and valuable opportunity – their requests for more support from local institutions to create a space in which they can express themselves, as well as define their creative role in the area, will be voiced.

Amongst the local collectives taking part are ATRACT, BASIS, CULTURE ASSAULT, HOSPIZ, LA FAMIGLIA, MERANDERGROUND, MIK, RAUM, REVOLTEKK, RIOT CLUB CULTURE, RITUAL TEKNO, SCUM, TANZEN IST AUCH SPORT and VIRUS.
