Friday 24 March 2023 from 7.30 pm to midnight Museion presents the first OCCUPY MUSEION event of the year: an evening dedicated to electronic music, part of the Museion Art Club program that aims to accelerate urban change through subcultures in South Tyrol.

The glitch has emerged from the breaking point between virtuality and reality, a technical malfunction that is now an expression of new singularities and collective forms of violation: it is mobilization, refusal of normativity, remix, virus. In this context, OCCUPY MUSEION presents artistic positions during the evening that contain sound and visual glitches.

The event, designed by an independent Forum part of Museion Art Club, marks the beginning of a curatorial collaboration between Marco Russo (promoter, collaborator of Verschubu Records in Innsbruck and manager of Col Legno Music label) and Philipp Kieser (HOSPIZ/Culture Assault). Their partnership aims to bring together the cities of Bolzano, Innsbruck and Vienna, which are separated by mountains, national borders and linguistic and cultural differences, in order to build sustainable partnerships that transcend geography.
Through the exchange of ideas, perspectives and artistic expressions, we foster a deeper, more inclusive understanding and appreciation of each other’s cultural identities in order to open a new chapter of creative possibilities between these regions.
