We are extremely happy to be here for you again. At the same time, we take the health of our visitors and museum team to heart, and we want to offer everyone a place they feel safe in. So, to ensure you enjoy your visit without any complications, we would like to ask you to take certain useful precautions:

Safety Measures
From age 12 and up visitors are required to wear a class FFP2 mask which covers their nose and mouth. Children under 12 years of age may also use other types of mouth and nose protection. For children under 6 years of age using masks is only a recommendation. Maintain a distance of one meter from all people who do not live in the same household as you. This also applies to the queue at the entrance. Please regularly disinfect your hands with the provided hand sanitizer, especially after touching surfaces.

Guided tours
For safety reasons, participant numbers are currently limited to 10 per tour. Reservations are required and can be made by contacting visitorservices@museion.it or calling 0471 223413 during Museion opening times.

How to find us

Almost all the buses which leave from outside the railway station stop near the museum. If you come into the old part of town by public bus, exit at Dominikanerplatz - It's then only a couple of minutes to Museion. For routes outside of the city, information can be found at www.sii.bz.it
The Airport Bolzano Dolomiti is located in the south of Bolzano. Buses 10B and 10A connect the airport with the centre of the city, the next bus stop can be found in 600 mt walking distance. Other airports nearby Airport Innsbruck (120 km) Airport Verona Villafranca (150 km) Airport Orio al Serio - Bergamo (180 km) Airport Treviso (150 km)
Bolzano can easily be reached from either the north or the south by the SS12 and the motorway A-22 Brenner-Modena (for which one must pay). From Passo Resia/Reschenpass you can get to Bolzano by the SS38 and by the faster road "MeBo (Meran–Bozen)" Itinerary
The museum offers no parking for cars or coaches. All the car parks indicated on the city map charge fees for parking. Museion has a handicapped parking lot for two cars in close vicinity to the entrance (access from via Dante).

Opening hours

Museion is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm. On Thursdays Museion is open until 10pm (admission up to 30 minutes before closing time). The Museion shop is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5.30pm and on Thursdays until 9.30pm.

From 29th November to 3rd January Museion is also open on Mondays from 10am to 6pm. Closed on 25th December and 1st January.

Access to Museion is only permitted with a Greenpass or negative Covid-19 test certificate taken no longer than 72 hours prior to entry. The health of our visitors and staff is very important to us and we aim to offer everyone a place where they can feel safe. To ensure that your visit goes smoothly, please take the following precautions:

Protective measures
A mask must by anyone aged 12 years and over. Children under 12 may also use other nose-mouth protection devices. This is not compulsory for children under 6 years of age. Keep a distance of one metre from all persons who do not share your living space. This also applies to the possible queue in front of the museum. Disinfect your hands regularly with the disinfectant gel provided at various locations in the museum, especially when you have been in contact with any surfaces.
