To celebrate the opening of the exhibition Nicola L. – I Am The Last Woman Object, Museion presents OCCUPY Museion – Delirious Optimism, a night of DJ sets that embrace the ecstatic energy of collectivity.
The title of the event is inspired by artist Nicola L., who coined the term “delirious optimism” to describe the driving force behind her cosmopolitan, activist practice and her playful resistance to social inequalities.
In the spirit of Museion’s new research line THE SOFTEST HARD, music becomes a tool for non-violent, transformative activism. This is reflected in GLITTER55 and Rifugio Amore’s DJ sets, which resonate with a transnational sense of belonging and queer feminist practices. Immersive visuals by Klimentina Li will enhance the experience.

Rifugio Amore
Rifugio Amore’s sets are highly eclectic and charged. Ranging from world and bass beats to latincore and ghettotech, the collective’s music is always anchored in a strong queer aesthetic and a commitment to amplifying voices that are too often marginalized.

GLITTER55
GLITTER55’s performances weave together techno, gqom, jungle-breaks and breakbeats with Chaâbi, Raï and Arab popular traditions, and her sets often close with tracks rooted in her North African heritage and samples from across the Global South.
