Performative book presentation
As part of BAW – Bolzano Art Weeks, Museion presents the launch of Zwischenwelten, the new artist book by Linda Jasmin Mayer.
Conceived as an extension of the artist’s practice, the publication brings together artworks and texts developed in dialogue with her work, exploring themes of transformation, in-between worlds, and the relationships between human and non-human forms of life.
Positioned at the intersection of artistic, literary, and ecological reflection, Zwischenwelten expands on questions that run throughout Mayer’s practice. Through multiple voices and perspectives, the book opens a space for considering processes of change, coexistence, and interconnectedness across species and environments.
The evening begins with an introduction by the publishing house Hopper & Fuchs, followed by a conversation between Linda Jasmin Mayer, Sabine Gamper, Els Wuyts, and Bart van der Heide. Together, they will discuss the ideas and research that inform the publication and the wider themes that shape Mayer’s artistic work.
The presentation concludes with a new series of performative interventions developed in relation to the book. Extending the publication into the exhibition space, the performance activates its contents through live action, offering audiences another way to engage with the themes and imaginaries explored across its pages.
Free entry. No registration required.
