To mark the opening of the new exhibition AMONG THE INVISIBLE JOINS - Works from the Enea Righi Collection, Museion Art Club presents Through the Vault. Inspired by the concept of secrecy and mystery evoked by private collections, the evening is structured as a multi-sensory journey through live performances and DJ sets. Immersed in an environment that recalls the aesthetics of vaults, the audience is invited to explore what is usually hidden and inaccessible through music and performance.

Program

The theme takes its inspiration from the title and intent of the exhibition: hidden treasures, kept in secret places like villas or armored vaults that stimulate reflections on the relationship between the past, present and future of art.

The event will take place on the basement floor of the museum, just a few steps away from the storerooms where the works are kept. These, like bank vaults, are private places protected by reinforced concrete pillars and alarms, where the museum’s artworks are stored before they are displayed to the public. It is the top-secret side of the museum that arouses curiosity and symbolizes the relationship of distance and sometimes reverential fear that exists between the public and contemporary art. The evening’s set design evokes these sensations, using recycled materials like concrete blocks, black curtains and aluminum pylons.

Angel Anger

Angel Anger is a dilated, noise-driven dream of celestial voices, sleepwalking gabber, bitcrusher effects and Eastern European chanting. Mixing unconventional sound production techniques with ghostly vocals, Adriana Ghimp, the creative force behind Angel Anger, takes the audience on a journey through a soundscape that is both ethereal and intense. Pulsating rhythms, distorted beats and hypnotic melodies intertwine in an enchanted world that Angel Anger creates and recreates on stage.

Low Jack

Philippe Hallais is a French electronic music artist, born in 1985 in Tegucigalpa (Honduras) and currently living in Paris, where he runs Editions Gravats /Les Disques De La Bretagne together with Jean Carval. He is famous for his club constructions that shift between dancehall, soundart and techno territories. He has released three albums under the pseudonym Low Jack and one under his own name, “An American Hero” (Modern Love, 2017). In March 2018 he released the mini-LP ‘Riddims du Lieu-dit’, that was applauded by the public and described as an ‘absolutely killer set of mutant dancehall futurism from the slums of Brittany’.

STILL

Moving between the vernacular worlds of sounds and images, the Milanese artist and musician STILL (Simone Trabucchi) has a unique, nomadic approach to his art. Formerly part of the duo Invernomuto, Trabucchi is also the founder of Hundebiss Records. He recently published KIKOMMANDO: a book, a video series and a mixtape on Hakuna Kulala by Nyege Nyege and PAN. In the past year he has also released tracks on compilations such as: “Paralaxe Palestine Compilation” (Paralaxe Editions), “In the Presence of Absence” (Al Gharib) and “We Will Stay Here” (Love Boat).

Rat Section

Rat Section are a music and performance act based in London. Active from 1989 to 2001, they returned to the scene in November 2023 with ‘What Stays In Vegas’, their first album since the late 1990s, released by Halcyon Veil. Known for their emphasis on choreography, set design and adapting each performance to the space available, they have presented: ‘Splash Zone’, a water-based installation at Ormside Projects and ‘47 Lines Of Vision’, a modular tent built during a month-long residency at Scythe in Melbourne.
