This autumn, Museion will present TIME:LINE, the third and concluding chapter of the first comprehensive European retrospective dedicated to RAMMELLZEE (1960–2010), one of the most influential and enigmatic figures of the New York art scene of the 1980s.

Developed in collaboration with the Palais de Tokyo, Paris, and the CAPC Musée d’art contemporain de Bordeaux, where the first two chapters were presented, TIME:LINE arrives in Bolzano as the project’s only Italian venue and its culminating presentation.

Artist, theorist, musician and performer, RAMMELLZEE developed a singular artistic language that moved fluidly between painting, sculpture, writing, music and performance. His practice was shaped by the theories of “Gothic Futurism” and “Iconoclastic Panzerism,” which he formulated in 1979 and continued to develop throughout his life.

While the exhibitions in Paris and Bordeaux explored the breadth of his artistic production and the cultural networks that surrounded him, Museion’s chapter focuses on a lesser-known yet fundamental aspect of his trajectory: his relationship with Italy.

Save the date: the exhibition opens on 16.10.2026!
