Media works from Vito Acconci to Simon Starling. Each film addresses a sociopolitical theme with references to the geography, urban planning and ecology of the city taken as reference by the artist. The film on the city of Dubai shows the neo-slavery phenomena of the astonishing urban complex built in the desert. The tallest building in the world is located here, architectural and engineering experiments are being carried out, a colossal economic hub has been created, all at the expense of millions of workers. On this occasion the artist presents his recent monograph I HAVE SEEN THIS PLACE BEFORE.
