On 19 April the featured speaker is Rein Wolfs, director of Kunsthalle Fridericianum in Kassel and Museion’s guest curator for 2012. In the past, by focussing on their role as a venue for the presentation of art, museums have often ignored the public.
In his lecture, entitled “Museum der Beziehungen” (museum of relationships), Wolfs will explore the museum’s role as a permanent interface and meeting place between artworks, artists, those appointed to mediate art, and visitors.
Depending on the speaker, the conferences will be held in Italian, German or English. Translations will not be provided.
