Museion open on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday from 10am to 6pm.

Easter, especially Easter Monday, is known to be synonymous with a trip out of town. If the weather is uncertain, a visit to Museion can represent an excellent alternative for a mental and cultural journey through contemporary art. On Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, Museion is open from 10am to 6pm. On the same days, “dialogues on art” take place from 2pm to 6pm: the mediators are available to the public in the afternoon to find out more about current exhibitions or simply exchange some ideas on contemporary art in general. The Museion bookshop is also open on the Easter long weekend from 10am to 6pm, with many promotions and discounts on artist, design and architecture books.

To be discovered at Museion is the exhibition on the collection, recently inaugurated, with more than 60 works including videos, photographs and installations, which retrace the recent history of the museum. Alongside textbook “classic” artists, such as the American sculptor Carla Andre, the Germans Isa Genzken and Rosemarie Trockel, there are also younger artists, several from the area - from the shots of Nicolò Degiorgis and Vera Comploj to the video of Sonia Leimer. In addition to a section dedicated to artists’ books, the exhibition presents a very suggestive nucleus of light works.

Those interested in recent history cannot miss the Rossella Biscotti exhibition. Archaeologist of memory, investigator of the past, even the most uncomfortable one, the artist created a work on the wall of the former concentration camp in Bolzano in 2008. On the ground floor, in the Project Room space, Chiara Fumai’s wall drawing and collages, part of her project “Der Hexenhammer” (the witches’ hammer), can be visited free of charge.
