7.00 pm Guided tour with Letizia Ragaglia, director of Museion (in Italian), 20.00 h Loose forms - conference by Sabeth Buchmann, art historian/lecturer, Akademie der Bildenden Künste Wien (in German).

Double appointment to delve deeper into the “Up” exhibition by Judith Hopf, recently inaugurated. In what is her first solo show in an Italian museum, the German artist exhibits over 30 works including videos, collages and installations in an important exhibition designed for Museion. Hopf’s art uses simple materials and a deliberately amateur language, it is subtle, ironic, aware of its limits, but capable of shaking social vestments and conventions.

At 7 pm Letizia Ragaglia, director of Museion and curator of the exhibition, will lead through the exhibition and therefore illustrate the work of Judith Hopf (the visit is in Italian). At 8pm, a conference will take place in Museion Passage with Sabeth Buchmann, art historian, critic and professor at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Vienna, as well as author of a conversation with the artist in the catalog of the exhibition at Museion. In her speech, entitled “Loose Forms”, the scholar analyzes Hopf’s works in their ability to connect materials and objects from everyday life and from the world of consumption to models and behavioral patterns of social and emotional life.
