Cultural Planning can be a substantial element in the reformulation of a territorial development strategy that generates positive effects on the reference communities. Born in the 70s and widespread especially in the Anglo-Saxon area, Cultural Planning proposes a mapping and mobilization of all the cultural resources of the territory, tangible and intangible, for a synergistic planning that integrates the points of view and skills of urban planners, historians , sociologists, cultural workers, anthropologists and creatives. The theme will be developed in a public round table and workshop led by Franco Bianchini, head of the new Institute for Research on Culture and the Creative Industries, at the University of Hull in the United Kingdom.

Thursday, October 20, the round table is an opportunity to discuss different experiences, coming from multiple territories, to reflect on the centrality of cultural resources as a basic element of both the planning and definition of development policies. Followed by a guided tour of the Judith Hopf / Up exhibition and musical aperitif with Candirù.
