In traditional art, the static nature of the figurative arts was clearly distinguished from the dynamism of theatre, dance, etc. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, and especially since the 1960s, performative elements have been introduced into art which play an increasingly important role in the interaction between space, time and the human body.
