Art raises questions, design solves them.

Design seeks function, while art has no practical purpose: but is this still the case? What relationship is there between functionality and free creativity in two similar but different disciplines, such as design and art? How well do we know how to read the language that design objects speak? How to present and communicate them in a museum? Four high-level speakers address these questions from different perspectives and angles. The 2017 artiparlando cycle is inspired by the activation of the curriculum in Art in the Degree Course in Design and Arts of the Free University of Bolzano.

Manfred Alois Mayr talks about his work, on the border between figurative art and architecture. His works are born in close relationship with the cultural context and are the translation of stories and elements of everyday life. In German.
