Two days of Public Program including performances, screenings and artist talks with Marissa Lôbo, Jota Mombaça and Michelle Mattiuzzi.

Two days of performances, screenings and artist talks: The Affirmation of Nothing is the last event within Somatechnics, the exhibition curated by Simone Frangi which puts the positions of working artists and artists into dialogue in Austria and Italy. The program is placed within the concept of Somatechnics which, as the curator explains, “focuses on those habits of social profiling that stigmatize certain bodies rather than others on the basis of visual stereotypes linked to race, gender, class, religion or sexual orientation.”

Language as a tool of discrimination; the permanence of colonial structures in the globalized present, but also visions of possible attempts and ways out of structural racism and social death. These are the themes that will be touched upon through the language of performances, sound, poetry and dialogue in two intense days of appointments with the artists Marissa Lôbo (born in Bahia, Brazil, lives and works in Vienna), Jota Mombaça (Brazil) and Michelle Mattiuzzi (Brazil).
