Parasite 2.0

09.—26.11.2023

at MUSEION

Parasite 2.0 is a design and research agency founded in 2010 by Stefano Colombo, Eugenio Cosentino and Luca Marullo which investigates the state of human habitats, acting within a hybrid field of architecture, design, and set design.

As part of the Longing for Belonging project, developed by Museion Art Club’s editorial group Content, Parasite 2.0 adopts a form of modular architecture in which to host specific events in various spaces throughout the HOPE exhibition, thus “parasitizing” them for a period of about a month. The space created by the Assemblage#1 structure is temporary, designed to be constructed and dismantled through collective action in another space, which may be either external and public or internal, as in this case with this museum setting.

The various conformations of Assemblage#1 allow different communities to form, define their space of action and temporarily belong to a space which thus becomes a venue inhabited by these communities within the conceptual framework that the HOPE exhibition itself outlines.

Assemblage#1 is one of the contributions to the reflection on the desire to belong running through contemporary society, developed as part of the Longing for Belonging program.
