Cultivators for Asad Raza’s upcoming artistic project Plot

Are you interested in actively participating in a multidisciplinary, research-oriented and performative project at Museion and interacting with the artist Asad Raza and with experts in soil analysis? Then we invite you to get in touch and apply as a cultivator!

Museion – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Bolzano, together with the American artist Asad Raza, is looking for people interested to become part of a group of cultivators and actively contribute to the project ‘Plot’ between March and September 2023.

The project focuses on the soil beneath our feet, a network of interacting organisms that serves as a natural environment for human life. In close collaboration with the artist, the cultivators will contribute to the active creation of the installation and will also interact directly with the public.

We are looking for curious, communicative, attentive and enthusiastic people from Bolzano or the surrounding area. Previous experience in art or performance is not required. An interest in the land or agriculture and a passion for art are very welcome.

Participation takes place at various times between 18 March and 8 September. The time requested for participation is flexible, however, a minimum of 8 hours per week during the course of the project is preferable.

One-hour group interviews with the artist are scheduled on the following dates:

16 December 2022 (starting at 16.00) 17 December 2022

We look forward to receiving applications from people with different backgrounds aged 18 and over.

If you are interested, please send an e-mail with the subject line “Project Asad Raza” to petra.guidi@museion.it by 4 December 2022, briefly sharing why you wish to participate in the project and telling us a little about yourself. We also kindly ask you to tell us on which day (see above) you would be available for an interview.
