Artists’ Bio
Yoshifumi Sodeyama, better known as DJ Sodeyama, has been a driving force in the Japanese underground electronic music scene for the last 20 years. A DJ, producer and founder of ARPA Records, Yoshifumi Sodeyama started performing in the early 90’s in his native Tokyo. Throughout his career, he has contributed positively to the Tokyo Electronic scene, including clubs and festivals all over Japan as well as being active worldwide.
On his own ARPA Records label, Sodeyama shifts to his The People In Fog guise, recently presenting a new album with a range of House styles, from percussion-based, hypnotic rhythms to jazz-tinged aesthetics and more groove driven compositions.
Born in Yokohama, Anri grew up surrounded by the booming hiphop scene that dominated her hometown. She only heard her first taste of underground dance music in 1999, during a trip to Tokyo with a friend, when she was still a minor, but since that night she has never looked back. After being heavily inspired by many local DJs, some years later, Anri moved out of Yokohama to Japan’s Techno capital, Tokyo, and later travelled even further to the Techno world capital of Berlin.
