With the Irma Blank Museion exhibition, the investigation into the works of the New Scripture Archive preserved in the collection continues.
Over 50 works in ink or watercolor on paper present the fascinating work of the German artist, who takes inspiration from writing to renounce the legible word. What results are fictitious writings, which retain only the gesture of writing and form blocks of text and chapters as in the pages of books and newspapers. The tendency towards meditation, typical of Blank’s work, is reinforced by the intense use of the color blue.
