Being a mobile institution open to a constantly changing world and promoting diversity as a social value

With this objective Museion organizes mediation offers in the name of maximum accessibility and inclusion. An interactive and interdisciplinary approach towards the public, which over the years has produced special formats for people with particular needs, but also generally accessible inclusion practices. Museion now renews its commitment to these issues with an interdisciplinary meeting day on art therapy, which, in compliance with the latest provisions on the prevention and management of the COVID emergency, will take place entirely online. The public will be able to follow the meetings on the Museion Facebook page (Museion Bozen-Bolzano).

The day involves professionals and representatives from the health, social and cultural sectors. Talks, conferences and online workshops with examples of best practices will compare experts on current and future forms of collaboration between psychology, psychiatry and art therapy. The aim of the day is to reflect on the professional recognition and support of these approaches by national health services. The program includes, in the morning section, a series of talks between experts, while in the afternoon there will be workshops on examples of best practices held by experts in art, theater and music therapy and a conference by Achille De Gregorio, pioneer of art therapy in Italy and co-founder of the ArTeA art therapy school. The event is organized in collaboration with art therapists Ulrike Hofmann and Patrizia Trafoier and will be moderated by Brita Köhler, head of public services and educational projects, Museion.

The public will be able to follow the meetings on the Museion Facebook page.

Concluding reflections

Workshops

Workshop 1: Art therapy methods (dt)

With Ulrike Hofmann (art therapist) & Patrizia Trafoier (art therapist & theater pedagogist).

Art therapy promotes problem-solving and recovery processes and supports well-being. Participation in a creative process leads to better understanding and communication of oneself and one’s needs, as well as regulating reactions to stress.

In the workshop we reflect on experimental work with color and on individual encounters with works of art selected at Museion.

Workshop 2: Dramatherapy methods (dt)

with Erika Castlunger (theater pedagogist and theater therapist)

Theater creates complex and “magical” worlds and translates them into action. Through playful and body-oriented approaches, including non-verbal ones, drama therapy helps people experiment with new possibilities of action and strengthen existing personality resources.

The workshop introduces various therapeutic methods and explores the power and energy of theatrical art.

Workshop 3: Dance therapy and pedagogy methods (it/dt)

with Elena Molinaro (dance therapist) and Anita De Bastiani (music and movement pedagogist with focus on creative dance and theatrical dance)

The perception of the body accompanied by music and spontaneous movements leads to our inner worlds and makes our creative energy and harmony of body and mind flow. Using our improvisation, creativity and imagination, the workshop provides insights into methods of creative dance with children and adults.

Workshop 4: Music therapy methods (en)

with Mariarita Di Pasquale (violinist and music therapist) and Dr. Grazia Parente (music therapist and graduate in clinical and rehabilitation psychology)

The “SILENZIO” workshop offers an acoustic journey that explores “one’s” music in the relationship with others. The exercises stimulate “listening to silence” and your own inner sound.

Conference: Il modello polisegnico (it)

with Achille De Gregorio (art therapist, author and founder of the ArTeA association)

“We are omnivores: we look for stories, symbols, metaphors. In art therapy courses, in the Ateliers we weave dreams and deceptions: new forms of contrast to the rampant psychological and social discomfort.”

The conference reflects the professional activity and challenges of art therapy and presents future-oriented methods of psychological, social and ethnoanthropological analysis.
