Cubo Garutti
The artist Paul Thuile intervened in the city of Bolzano in various architectural studios and at the Cubo Garutti, drawing directly on the internal walls of the spaces.
The drawings will be visible as part of an initiative launched by Museion together with the artist. When observed closely, the drawings appear to be an abstract composition of well-defined lines and strokes, but by changing the point of observation, a delicate composition appears in its entirety.
Views of the landscape or interior details, reproduced from different perspectives than that of the observer, relate from time to time to the environment that welcomes them. Just as painting has helped architecture to expand its spaces by creating perspective illusions, Paul Thuile’s interventions bring attention back to drawing as a creative and imaginative act, which strongly links his practice to that of space designers, architects .

The studios that house the artist’s drawings are accessible during the week:
- Studio Mut is open from Monday to Friday (9.00-13.00; 15.00-18.00)
- The Architecture Foundation is open from Monday to Friday (9.00-12.00)
- Susanne Waiz’s studio is open on 01, 07, 08 and from 11 to 14 September (3.00 pm – 6.00 pm)
- The Elisabeth Schatzer Studio can be visited by appointment (contact schatzer.e@rolmail.net)
